The fredonia collection
In college I started with a Freshman Composition class, that professor, Mr. Stess encouraged me to consider a creative writing program when I was looking to transfer from Fredonia after my freshman year.
Assigned to explore a "process," I drew from my summer job at Atlantic Design, a small computer company. My role in the warehouse, where I observed the journey of cables, sparked a deeper narrative that transcended the initial assignment.

This piece was written about an "experience that impacted my life." Trying to talk about my mother's sobriety, which later influenced my own, was both hard and sort of easy. Hard because I was discussing it publically, but, it was easy because it was honest. I remember being proud of this piece and used it as my essay when I applied to transfer to Binghamton University.
